I never liked Rongi while growing up, but eating rongi today brought back memories from home. I had not eaten Rongi, atleast Rongi not made punjabi style for almost a decade now. Rongi (or Black eyed beans curry or lobhia ) is a simple, protein packed dish

suited for everyday cooking.

I spotted them in the Whole Food’s bulk section along with other lentils and after sitting on my kitchen counter for couple of weeks I decided to cook them.
